Our Hackathon, with Gruppo Unipol and organized by Codemotion, has started!

Milan, 9 September 2024

The Hackathon challenge, promoted by ReActive in partnership with GruppoUnipol and organized by Codemotion, has started!

Over the next four weeks, participants, with the support of mentors, will compete to find creative and effective solutions for modernizing legacy software.

Luigi Zanardi, Head of Omnichannel Automation & IT Architecture, Gruppo Unipol:

“In the context of epochal change, accelerated by the adoption of GenAI, the partnership with the ReActive Hackathon seemed like an excellent opportunity for us to engage with the large Tech Community on new technological and methodological solutions that can redesign and improve the processes already in use in the finance & insurance industry. Legacy software modernization paths, undertaken with the combined use of human skills and GenAI, undoubtedly  represent an area to be explored with attention, both for the qualitative/quantitative value they can have in recovering code knowledge and for the generation of new, more robust and optimized code. Unipol is already working on leveraging GenAI to evolve the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and is excited to meet talented young developers who will deliver a 'WOW' effect."

Andrea Bei, Head of Digital Services, ReActive:

"Promoting a challenge to find creative and effective solutions for modernizing legacy software means putting know-how and inventiveness to the test in one of the most competitive scenarios for the finance & insurance industry. At ReActive, we were the first to challenge our established experience and expertise by launching a strategic innovation project aimed at modernizing legacy software through GenAI. Having Gruppo Unipol as a partner in this Hackathon strengthens our confidence in the path we’ve taken and the solutions we’re offering to a market projected towards new horizons of efficiency, innovation, and service personalization."
